Who We AreWe are the first and only provider of truly dedicated servers for console games. A dedicated console server is a remotely controlled console that's sole purpose is to host game sessions. Our dedicated console servers are connected to the internet through multiple gigabit connections to major internet provider pipelines. The issue in today's consoles game environments is the difference in "ping" and "latency" between the player and the "hosting" player. We are removing this issue, and providing one of the best hosting possibilities that the internet has to offer. Through our geographical survey, we decided our current data center's location (Dallas, TX) would appeal to most people wishing to play on the servers. 95% of our participants were below 65ms (the ping from the player to the data center), which is far better than a normal player to player connection of 100+ ms (lower is better). Why We Did ItBeing former high-caliber competitive players and eventually administering online tournaments and leagues for console based games, we saw a need to improve the online competition scene. Most games are plagued with issues like lag, host advantage, and lack of documentation for each game. We wanted to remove those variables from games, and had the competitive scene in the primary focus. The simplest solution was to have a neutral host so both teams are on a fair playing field, but the servers needed to be self-contained with as little human contact as possible. We developed a way to automate functions such as inviting players and setting up gametypes to be remotely controlled through a player’s computer. Now, with a neutral host on a top tier internet connection, players can finally face each other without questioning the validity of the match. This helps administrators of leagues and competitions resolve disputes because most of the former “player variables” are removed through the use of a dedicated console server. Administrators are helped greatly by the video and logs that are kept for every game that occurs on the servers, and are able to keep the matches on schedule with the quick access to all of the game logs. The only variable remaining for players to worry about is a player/team’s skill.
